D’Vorberger Heritage Society
This heritage society was founded in 1949 to promote traditional folk customs and dance. The name itself references an area at the foot of the Heuberg – known as the Vorberg, encompassing the small communities of Neuhofen, Kraiwiesen and Unzing. The over 150 members are dedicated to the celebration of folk costumes, traditions and folk dance.
Their commitment to deeply rooted folk customs is also expressed in the many different events which they host, including a Harvest Dance, dance courses, as well as the Kirchberger Georgiritt horse parade. Together with many excursions and group hikes in the nearby mountains, the “Vorberger” can always be counted on to have a full and exciting calendar.
