Discover the Salzkammergut
“Salzburg Sightseeing Tours”, the company which has been running “Hop On – Hop Off” buses in Salzburg City for years, a service which is much-used and very popular with tourists, is now adding a new “Hop On – Hop Off” bus for the Salzkammergut region.
Hop On – Hop Off comes to Eugendorf
Since 24.03.2016, the “Green Line” – also known as “Hop On – Hop Off, Lakes & Mountains” – has been running between Bad Reichenhall and the Salzkammergut, introducing guests and locals alike to the landscapes and history of this magical setting.
Twelve different stops invite passengers to discover this land and its very special highlights. The tours feature audio commentaries played over headsets during the drive – currently available in German and English – and offer the opportunity to get off at any of the stops along the route, then continue your tour on a later bus without having to purchase a second ticket.
The “Green Line” tour runs from Bad Reichenhall to Salzburg City (Mirabell Square), Koppl, Hof, Fuschl am See and St. Gilgen. From there, it continues via St. Lorenz, Mondsee, Thalgau and Eugendorf, then back to Salzburg. The stop in Eugendorf (“Eugendorf Strass”) is located close to McDonald’s. The first departure from Eugendorf is daily at 10 a.m., while the last bus from Mondsee and Thalgau arrives back in Eugendorf at 5:30 p.m.
Current 2016 prices are EUR 25 per adult and EUR 12 per child, while a family ticket is also offered for EUR 55 (2 adults and max. 2 children). Salzburg Sightseeing Tours’ “Green Line” offers this service until 26 October, also giving locals a great opportunity to see this paradise right outside their own “front door” through the eyes of our guests.
