Mozart Bike Tour

Bike map of the Mozart Bike Tour

The Mozart Bike Tour is divided into 16 stages (including a detour to St. Gilgen). None is longer than 50 km, with some stages substantially shorter. Which means you can enjoy this tour however you wish and to the extent your physical stamina allows.

There are also three connecting routes, making it possible to take even shorter tours if you prefer:

Between St. Lorenz and Köstendorf: Stage 17

Between Laufen, Freilassing and Kössen: Stages 18, 19 and 20

Between Bad Reichenhall and Salzburg: Stage 21

In and around Salzburg amid the most beautiful lakes in Austria and Bavaria.

Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart left numerous traces close to Salzburg. A mosaic of documented "Mozart Points" are interconnected via the Mozart Bike Tour. This cross-border tour takes you through some of the most splendid lake country in Salzburg and Bavaria.

90% of the tour is along low-traffic side roads, most of which are paved.

The Mozart Bike Tour is uniformly marked in both directions with a silhouette of Mozart's head and is very suitable for families.
