| Beautiful hike beginning in St. gilgen. Some stages of this hike take you directly alongside tje lake. After a steep section up the mountain, we recommend visiting Falkenstein church and the cave in which Saint Wolfgang lived. We would also suggest making a short detour to the Falkenstein cliffs (please follow the signs), where you are treated to imposing views of the lake and neighboring mountains. a passenger ferry sails regularly from St. Wolfgang back to St. Gilgen. | |
