The City of Salzburg can easily be explored on foot without a map. A convenient pedestrian guidance system will also be in place during the UEFA EURO 2008™. All fans should be familiar with the abundance of discounts, expecially on public transport.
Public transport
The fan zone is located in the center of Salzburg’s Old City and is easily accessed by bus. Bus service is available from 5:00 a.m. to 1:00 a.m. Game ticket-holders and/or rail ticket holders will be able to ride the bus in Salzburg free on match days. This also applies to Salzburg Card holders (for 24, 28 or 72 hours). A direct shuttle service will operate between the stadium and parking lots to the Host City/center on game days. The shuttle service is also included in the game ticket price.
Pedestrian guidance system
The fan zone in Salzburg’s Old City is easily accessed from the parking lot at Salzburg Arena, the Central Train Station and the North and South bus terminals (Paris Lodron Strasse and Alpenstrasse) as well as the stadium shuttle stop. A convenient pedestrian guidance system using different colors will lead you directly to the fan zone.
European Championship Stadium in Wals-Siezenheim
Free tours of the European Championship Stadium will be conducted each Saturday from December 1, 2007 to the end of May 2008 at 10:00 a.m. and 12 noon (on the hour). Visit all the important areas of the stadium: the lawn, the locker rooms, the press box and of course the VIP area.
